  1. If they have that much energy to make moves like that they did not ride hard enough.
  2. Lots of sympathy for Contador, Li Fuyu was busted for the same substance and was booted out. Dare i suggest little sympathy because he was a Radioshack rider.
  3. A Roodepoort cyclist and her training partner were attacked and robbed of their bicycles, it was reported on Friday. The bicycle-jacking took place on Ontdekkers Road, about 200m from the Hendrik Potgieter Crossing on Thursday, Beeld newspaper reported. Christa Botha, 48, and Barend Burger, 36, said they followed their regular route along the N1, cycling towards Johannesburg. They turned back early to avoid bad weather. “Barend was in front of me. A man walked in front of him. I didn't suspect anything, and tried to overtake them, but another man appeared and pushed me right off my bicycle,” Botha said. The two criminals pointed firearms at Botha and Burger. They stole both bicycles, together worth around R90 000, Burger's cellphone and Botha's GPS. George Corbett, chairman of Central Gauteng Cycling, said several such crimes had been reported in the same area during the past 18 months, and that the only way to avoid bicycle-jacking was to cycle in large groups. - Sapa http://www.iol.co.za/news/crime-courts/robbers-attack-cyclists-1.1231429?showComments=true
  4. LA's colours
  5. R75 CSA and R75 CGC and you are eligible to race seeded open and if you want provincial (MTB and road) Although in all the years licencing has been compulsory i have never been asked to produce my licence.
  6. Now perhaps they can remove the "special" seeding for PPA members in the Argus. I would be highly critical of CGC or even my club race if they showed favoritism.
  7. Not all brown stuff is mud.
  8. Mine also don't last long.
  9. Ah, for a moment there i thought he was found guilty cause Betsy told them he doped.
  10. I recall during one of LA's TDF races, the paperazi were found rifling through the garbage outside the place LA was staying, some would claim they were looking for dope evidence, i think they were just peckish and were looking for something to eat.
  11. If only, if only....someone had kept a needle/vial plastic bag with LA's finger print on, the contents which could easily have been analyzed. Kept a recorded conversation where LA was arranging fresh batches of dope (i'm sure that UK news tabloid who hacked peoples phones and recorded their conversation could have helped), taken video footage showing LA in dark glasses and a trenchcoat meeting seedy characters in dark alleys....if only....if only.
  12. Excluding the he said/she said its down to disputed bum cream and 99 results.
  13. You buy the doctor was lying and his motivation was financial. Was this proven or speculation.
  14. Apparently WADA inquiry venue has been anounced
  15. Promise i'll get faster. Its easy to get sidetracked when you defending your idol.
  16. "In an interview with the New York Times in September 2006, Andreu admitted that he had taken EPO to help prepare for the 1999 Tour de France, when he was riding for the US Postal team which assisted Lance Armstrong to his first Tour victory.[3] Andreu said he was introduced to performance enhancing drugs in 1995 while he was riding for Motorola.[4]" Wonder why the FEDS ignored this. Andreu (why would he lie) stated he doped while riding for USP. Also as he was being paid by USP surely he should be wearing metal bracelets and getting pally with Baba for cheating.
  17. Doctor says no. What reason would he have for lying, did anyone check if he came to own a new pool or fancy car shortly after. Andreu testified that while visiting Armstrong in the hospital for treatment of testicular cancer in 1996, Andreu overheard Armstrong tell his oncologist that he had used “steroids, testosterone, cortisone, growth hormone and EPO [an illegal performance-enhancing drug].” Although both Armstrong and the physician disputed the testimony and the case was settled out of court in Armstrong’s favor, Swift nonetheless commented, “Which testimony is more credible? The Andreus’ or Armstrong’s? Ask yourself which party had the most to gain by lying. And why is that particular testimony significant? Because one of the possible side effects of prolonged steroid use is testicular cancer.”
  18. Its actually quite easy to provide "evidence" if you have a relationship with someone. Just a pick a date and time that you were together preferable alone (as it actually took place it cannot be disputed) then make a claim that you witnessed something go down. This automatically makes it fact as unless that person can provide a reason that you have an ulterior motive its believable. Me, well in today technical world, video/audio tape, DNA, fingerprint, photos, emails, letter i.e. solid stuff you can sink your teeth into is what damns a person. Funny this is lacking in the LA saga.
  19. [ Sounds like a principled woman, accusing the Feds of being intimidated or corrupt.
  20. I see not really damning then is it (but why should she lie.)
