Colinw, I agree with you. I shop where I want to shop and never, ever confuse price and value. Cheap does not always come with the "other stuff" that makes my purchasing a pleasure. I have never bought from CWC so I cannot comment on them. I have only supported 1 LBS in Ben on one with the possibility of supporting another one closer to home when I need to. The value of buying from your LBS is that you build and foster a relationship with them to both party's benefit. That being said, there are numerous posts all over our Hub where cyclists have issues with their LBS not giving a hoot. Hit & miss?

This is just another day in good ol' RS of A! Either they: (i) are still busy (ii) have not gotten to it yet (iii) did not find anything and have let it drop (iv) are subject to a third force and it was a false report thereby casting doubt and uncertainty as to the legitimacy of a legal government tool affording the people, at grass roots level, a greater equality with the previously advantaged regime (running out of breath here)........

And what came of that investigation? I do not know. Not even sure it is completed yet.

Maybe there is more to this than mere marketing - I seem to remember a couple of months back that the cycling industry in SA was being investigated for price-fixing. I am not saying this letter is gospel, what I am saying is that perhaps there is more to this than bashing the competition.
