  1. Nice to hear that you have found/helped 2 hubbers/hubbers friends. Looks like this thread needs a weekly bump.
  2. When I saw the topic I thought the perfect cyclists car is the one that went past without hitting him/her. 60 mph in 4 seconds? pull the other bell, its got legs on. How do you spell "typo"? More like 0 to 6 in 40 seconds.
  3. I have read through this entire thread and come to the following personal opinions: 1) The magazine's staff are lazy. 2) The man named Mike has a very short memory and not really in touch with his publication's content. 3) The email from Mike and the Twitter communications show me that: 3.1)There is a disconnect between what Mike says and what everyone else says, 3.2) as pointed out earlier, Ctrl C and Ctrl V are the only word processing skills they seem to have and more importantly 3.3) they think their readers are stupid and do not do research (just like them it seems) and will never pick up that we ae being fed two diferent stories.
  4. Racism is just a pigment of your imagination.
  5. EigerSA I'm on your side with this. Grumpy, you have to break an egg to make an omelette. I support this initiative FULLY. Go SAPS/Metro!!!!!! You can have 5 minutes of my time any day. It would seem that we damn them for doing nothing and then damn them again when try something. Have a heart chaps. And by the way, the 4th amendment has got nothing to do with the RS of A. Neither has due process in the States got a jot of bearing on us. We have an incredibly high crime rate. Whatever can be done to sort it out has my support.
  6. Grumpy, I agree with the getting off on a charge of being a drunk passenger - as long as the driver is sober/under the limit, he would then be the designated driver and the passengers would be the designated drinkers.
  7. Unfortunately, +1 and another 1. Dammit!
  8. All valid points Mojo - perhaps these are teething troubles early on in the campaign?
  9. No one said they were all paragons of virtue. I would gladly give up 5 minutes of time at a roadblock. What was he doing for those 5 minutes? Maybe checking to see if anyone was "a person of interest"? Maybe the next time not everyone who was stopped would be law abiding citizens. Time well spent if you ask me.
  10. This might infringe on my rights, but so does the drunk/unlicensed driver of a unroadworthy/stolen vehicle. I will opt for the former infringement thank you very much. All of us Mitch and Boan about the fact that the cops are about as useful as breasts on fish, but then they try and do something and we are once again all over them for attempting to sort stuff out. When it is shown to be ineffectual, then we can give them hell. Until then, I think law abiding citizens should be supportive. To say they are all corrupt and looking to supplement their bonuses is like saying all Roadies are idiots. I may in fact be one, but a lot of my tar-brothers are not. Steady on guys. They are trying to sort out a situation that admittedly they created, but they are none-the-less trying.
  11. I hear that it takes a good wench to tighten nuts properly?
  12. From your lips to God's ear.
  13. I think that once incarcerated, this may be a handy skill.
  14. Looks like the Vlou Bulle are cursed by problems with Bees - in two languages! In the second and most recent bees incident, a swarm seems to have put them off their game. In the first incident, Mr Roux seems to have fallen foul of ..... Never mind. I am a Province supporter and have been since 1979. Good luck to the Sharks, but Province will not need or rely on luck. I reckon the Province will be dining on Curie'd shark in a fortnights time.
  15. Well done Puncture Girl. Is that why you chose that Hub Nick? Deflating are we? Your dedication and determination will pay huge dividends. Again, well done.
