  2. I got some nice bling xx for the new niner frame i ordered, everything is as it should be..... Awesome, except for the cassette, it seems the cassette is loose on the freebody of the mavic crossmax 29er i ordered, we tried fitting spacers but it does'nt seem to work, as soon as we fit them on a set of amarican classics they fit snug as a nappy, any suggestions?
  3. ITS CALLED BUYIN IN BULK AT THE MANUFACTURER!!! HELLOOOO! bulk = Discount
  4. DUDE THATS K@K service! i mean 2 weeks? dont know where your bike store is but its not the norm, usually its within 3 days and if the okes are sharp they can organize it the next day!
  5. I can see ive "roered the pot" quit a bit! my conclution is that there was to many of you guys beieng pissed of by bike stores with poor service, and i must admit its not easy getting a store with good service, but if you feel you must buy online go ahead! Just wondering what happned to LOVE FOR A CYCLING BROTHER! we all make a living of someone else... een man se dood die ander se brood! SO WHY MAY BIKE SHOPS NOT MAKE A BUCK? Anyway guys! Chill out no need to get aggressive! AT THE END OF THE DAY CYCLING MUST WIN!
  6. Most bike stores only add between 35-50% ons sertain items! on accesorys some bike stores will use a markup of anything between 50 and 70%(keeep in mind this is how they make thier money) Most bike stores only have a 35% mark-up on bikes , that means if the bike costs R1000.00 retail you will buy it for R1539.00 of which the store ontly makes R399 that is not much if you take into account that labour is used to assemble the bike, and most stores give you aftersales service guarantee. so for 399 thats a bargain!
Dink julle ek oordryf of sien julle my punt? Marries2010-05-20 04:44:23
  8. NOt sure! but it might be as simple of a problem as just replacing the cable and housing! if that doen not work take it to your lbs to have them take a look and mabe service the shock!
  9. Regarding your question about carbon frames degrading; It is a fact that some carbon frames do not last as long as Alu frames, seeing as carbon is a fiber which can break down and alu is a metal that does not rust or degrade as quickly. But if you buy a carbon frame from a known brand you usually get a 5 year guarantee on the frame the reason for the 5 years is firstly most cyclists replace their bikes in 5 years and secondly the fact that the frame lifetime on a carbon bike is less. It might be difficult to justify buying an expensive frame but seeing as almost any "Jan rap" who knows how to work carbon can almost build a frame it is better to go for a brand which has done extensive testing on their bikes. You can also search the web there should be allot of answers regarding this matter.
  10. You dont have to fit the qrm bearings, what you need is a special tool but your local bike shop should have one, it almost looks like a tyre lever, if you want to you can replace the bearings with bearins from your local bearing man they are just as smooth and you can ask for good quality bearings, but you can also order the qrm bearing from ylbs and fit them yourself! the bearing man bearings will cost you 40 bucks instead of a couple of 100, if you need any help installing them, youre welcome to phone me, or if you need the qrm bearings i will organise them for you Marnitz 0748873168
