  1. The irony here being that you will get charged with theft and assault, however if you take the photo to the police at least they will know what the guy looks like... the guy that got away with theft... and probably assault in the process...
  2. Funny I was thinking the same thing when I started reading a couple of minutes ago. Allot of guys have said way too much, esp about tracking bank details, I work in a bank, if that gets out to the bank the "tracker" can get fired and prosecuted... And all he wanted to do was help his friend...
  3. Thanks allot, appreciate the info, will give them a call.
  4. Uhm yes, have been there, have seen the photo's, however, they want me to pay AGAIN, for something I have payd for already?
  5. Ok so that is all fare and well, but when I registered on the site I paid R100 (I think) for a photo(s)? Is this going to be mailed or do I have to download them from somewhere as well?
  6. Ok, who is the person who voted that the covernment should controll this? You accidently clicked the wrong button... didnt you?
  7. You know what, you are right, taking the Coyote home @ 03:00 is less effort.
  8. I used to be a social smoker, till I trarted cycling more competativeley, stopping just came naturaly, dont even have a craving for one. I thought I would try one the other day (at a social gathering) and almost chucked my lunngs out after the third drag.
  9. I have not ridden the trek, but I own a Trance X2 and it handles like a machine, I have had a couple of MTB'S and so far this is my favourite and am going to ride it for quite some time.
  10. I am a biker myself, Motorbikes and Bicycles, and many time when I ride I see things like what you just described and can’t help thinking to myself that "that is the reason why bikers have a bad name". I mean I have seen some guys do REALLY stupid things in traffic and then nearly getting hit by a car, and then have the nerve to curse the person driving the car. As a biker one has to realise, as you stated above, that we all share the road and should have respect for one another. If you think you are going to challenge a car you are sadly mistaken.
  11. Hold on guys.... Ran out of popcorn... brb...
  12. Ok, so the through axle is a very nice idea, it makes a difference in handling and inspires confidence when cornering and all the rest... however... I have a fox fork that uses the through axle, on a Giant Trance X2 that I bought second-hand. Now, the bearings on the wheel-set that I got with the bike is shot, which is not such a big issue as I have a spare set of Fulcrum Red Metal 5's lying at home that I was going to use in any case. Until I tried to fit them. Went to LBS, and phoned another, and the just of the situation is that I now have to either fit a new HUB on the fulcrum if I insist on using it, or I have to buy a new wheel-set. I don’t particularly want to use the current wheel-set as it weighs a ton. Is there a way around this? Is there some sort of 'ghetto' conversion that can be done?
  13. No sunshine, You may say what you want, by all means, but name calling? I prefer sunshine to shoe shine .. not sure about moonshine though However, if you weren't being funny.... it is all the more sad I was actualy, in response to your , well spoted. So you see, I cant run for government, cause I have a sense of humour. It's so difficult to covey tone in Im's.

  15. Holy ****, One would expect the cycling "community" to act like, or actualy be, a community. The guy just raised an opinion, he did not ask for anything extra, a mere opinion, and all hell breaks loose, really mature guys. No wonder people want to flatten us cyclists with their cars. If you are like this towards your fellow sports men and wowan? What the hell is up with that? Why dont you just get his address and go execute him FFS.
  16. OK, call me a noob, but how the hell do you stay upright on this thing?
  17. It seems that common courtesy is an issue in general on the Farms, i.e. riders (with or without children) gathering at certain intersections and blocking them. Having absolutely no regard for oncoming cyclists, even when they SEE YOU COMING down a hill at unholy speeds. Sorry for the hijack.
  18. I have had my J 5's for a couple of months now, have used them on the easy roads and on the very technical and they have been awesome. You will have to take a look at the alignment of the caliper to the disk. I have spacers on mine that allow me to tilt the caliper according to the profile of the rotor if necesary. I'm not sure if these are standard spacers, regardless, the calipers are designed so you can move them side to side in order to avoid contact with the brake pads when you are not braking.
  19. 850 in the Namib hey? Have fun man. Wait a minute did'nt you just have an opp?
  20. I have three words for ya'll, Get a life.
  21. Damn straight.
  22. I have moved from coil to Air and am very happy, I find to be plush compared to coil. Personal taste at the end of the day I think.
  23. The white powder is... well, "rust", or what would have been rust in the case or any other iron. Alu doesnt rust, it corodes into the white powder we see in the pics.
  24. From what I have read the dart series is not to nice, allot of guys complaining about oil leaking and so forth. However, that is what I Read on reviews. Do yourself a favour and and google the name of the fork/shock, you will very quickly pickup on the trend of complaints/compliments.
