  4. A different spin on your answers - the PPA One Tonner is meant to be a FUN ride. Note the word FUN!!!! 1. So how many people are really fit enough to ride 160km and enjoy it? Probably less than half the entries!! 2. The wind is gale force today - which even for the people you are fit enough - would had made it far less FUN - if FUN at all. Give me a race I would have entered ridden and possibly won - but the last part is a bit far fetched! So to the person who today crossed the finnish line 1st - Alex - Well done, but I don't think anyone really won today - more everyone had a bit of a aff k#k session! N doubt the ride will make them better off for the DC but probably will require 2 or 3 days rest! How that for an opinion!

  7. Have not read the full thread! But the only thing wrong with the photo is SA law. 1. It is Illegal to ride continuously inside a yellow line - unless marked as a cycle lane as well - not sure if this road is. Thus the only Legal cyclist is the one in the road! But been legal does not help you when you dead! 2. The fact the RSA is the only country in the world where it is illegal to ride 2 a breast need to be brought in line with the rest of the world - where it is perfectly legal. Cape Town is becoming more and more a international cycling tourist destination esp. in summer and cyclist should get the same respect all over the world to their right also to use the roads. But in the photo as the rider riding 2 abreast are not on the road but inside the emergency lane (which is illegal) they not actually breaking the law on been 2 abreast!
