Said hello to the boulders on the first hectic climb on the Nissan Diamond Rush Half Marathon when I was trying to brave the hill on my bike, but ended up very much off the bike! Thanks for all the empathy from fellow riders that saw the fall (in slow motion) - apart from a bruised hip, knee, hand and ego, I'm okay, and eventually made it to the end. Compared to some of the other falls I witnessed, I came off quite lightly.

Ricky has been discharged from hospital. He is at home and already complaining that his bed is not as comfy as the hospital's! He asked me to please post a "Thank you" for all the wishes. So, Thank you everybody, it is much appreciated. From Ricky and Rocky He has been booked off until at least the 19th when he'll see the doctor again. His hands are in splints so won't be able to "hub" for a while! I'm sure he'll have lots to tell you when he gets back...

The guy that crashed at the bikepark is my fianc?. You might know him as Ricky Bobby. He was airlifted to hospital and after lots of x-rays and scans was moved to the Trauma ICU. He has a fractured vertebrae and badly sprained thumbs! They've kept him in ICU for observation as swelling could cause spinal damage, but he should be able to go home today. All he is worried about is if he'll be up and ready to ride Sani2C!!! Boys... never learn! Thanks for all the well wishes. It is much appreciated.
