Thanks, Hey You and DJR, I had a look at an old mountain bike I use around town and that has a 7 speed cassette with 30t cog so I could just get a rim and have a wheel built using that hub (or one like it) genius solution I was too busy looking for bits for my existing wheel set.

Thanks LeTurbo, I have been hunting through all their old bits with no luck which is why I asked here. Although maybe I should start my own thread where more people would see it, what do you think? I am new here so didn't want to seem too pushy. Barry

Hi, this is my first post to the forum and hoping someone here could help me or point me to someone that can. I am doing the Tour of Ara and trying to get the gearing for my 80's Peter Allan sorted. I am looking for a 7 speed thread-on freewheel with a 30t biggest cog. I know from google that these were made but the only current stock I can find is 32t max which puts me over the max 33 gear inches allowed. My crank is Strong Light with a 38t small chain ring and I think finding a 39t for that (to go with a 32t freewheel) would be even more difficult. Anyway after reading quite a few pages of this thread I thought that one of the members here might have what I need it their parts box Thanks, Barry
