I was one of the guys who Missed the SO CALLED Marshall marked turn over the dirt rd. The fact is that the gate was not even open when we came through & continued up the hill, there was No Marshall, No Open gate, *** Markings & its Bad form by the race organization to award a win to MAX or ANYONE else in the marathon as it was unfair to all if you a pro or fun rider. The way they have worked out the race results is also a load of crap as I was over the KOM & finished with a guy who has 7th overall result & I'm not on the list SO could Gertjie Harmse From SS Timing please explain that to me. All race prize money series points should be cancelled for this event & rolled over to the next series race. Getting lost & taking wrong turns seems the trend for the Nissan series races SO why do we keep pay entry fees to go the wrong way. I suggest we all ask for a race entry refund & when the Nissan race crew are able to provide a route that is correctly marked then we go back with a free entry @ there expense.

I saw the whole thing happen to ,,,,crazy SH#T....It all happend in slow motion!!It can only be the race organizers to blame...Surely the race organizers/time officals know by now to stick the mats down with some sort of tape or something.They only put tape onto the mats after the crash.I was also shocked to see how long it took the medics to get to the scene to help the guys out after the crash. How long are the loops ??

You gotta try them to find out if they work for you BUT they have a few different options in Flavours which all taste pritty good & they easy to get down not to thick. They have 1 with no caffeine(blue bottle) , 1 with 50 mg of caffeine(pink bottle) & 1 with 100mg of caffeine (green bottle) Take The Green gel in the last 20km of a race & it will give you such a kick you will wanna do another lap. bd542009-09-15 03:36:10

The Whasp gel bottles work really well & maybe those BONEHEADS who litter might think twice about chucking stuff away that they can use in the next race.

Why is it that guys in road races think its ok to chuck used GEL , ENERGY BAR WRAPPERS & PLASTIC BOTTLES onto the side of a the road. At the Dome to Dome yesterday I was shocked to see guys throwing their used rubbish on the side of the road. It?s just a easy to put back in your pocket once you have used it as it is to take it out???TRUST ME carrying your rubbish to the finish is not going to slow you down. My racing calendar is made up of mostly mountain bike races & 99% of the guys racing these mountain bike races have respect for the areas they ride. Why should it be different in road races??? I train on the roads out in the cradle area 3-4 times a week & now I have to head out on my morning rides & see all your crap on the sides of the roads. I have received 2 box?s of the NEW GREEN FLAVOUR WHASP GELS from the guys @ WHASP!!! The new flavor is great & I have not yet had any leaking Gels.... So lets hold Thumbs & hope they have sorted the problem out.

Nearly of the Roag events are held in KZN which is hard for the guys who live in JHB or other areas!They maybe need to hold a few events outside if KZN. Maybe send them some MTN national marathon series results or last years drifter series, if you have not done any of those events you need to start doing more races & until then you going to be starting at the back.

I have been given 2 box's of the New Green Flavour Whasp gels from the Guys @ Whasp ....Thanx guys Lets hope all the problems with the leaking gels have been sorted out as THE GELS DO WORK really well. I will keep you posted.
