  1. Yeah. Took it to Bogus. But my next build I am definitely going to try. Whats the worst that could happen????
  2. Thanks for the help. Dropped it off the other day. Have only heard good things. Great price too.
  3. Yeah. Build your own. I used to build skate ramps. Very easy if you can operate a drill and circular saw. Shutter ply and a few pine slats for support. Or get an old shipping palate and some bricks.
  4. Ola hubbers. Doing a fun little side project build for a fun track/fixie. They guy who powdercoats for me refused to spray my CF forks (baking will ruin the forks). I know that diy paint jobs are not ideal but I have decided to set myself a challenge and have some fun as I can't afford 1k to get just my for sprayed. I need to paint them myself. Has anyone got any experience with it? Any pointers would help! They are already painted (factory) so I was thinking of sanding it down with 220 grit into the existing paint and smoothing it off with some finer grit(400). Can I apply the paint directly to the exist, sanded paint or do I need to prime? If so what primer is good for cf? Then I will apply a couple coats of paint and finish with clear-coat. I know it will not be perfect. But it will be cheap and I can repaint or change colours as needed.
  5. Found the frame through fb. Yeah. Luckily I can get it powdercoated for a good price. The bike is for a fun fixed/beginners track setup so got to try work something out for the c/f fork.
  6. Thanks everyone. Seems like it is a Giant.
  7. I doubt it is a Bianchi. But would still like to know. Got it really cheap anyway. It is aluminium with carbon forks
  8. I recently purchased a 2nd hand track frame online. I was told it is a Giant Omnium. But it has been completely sprayed a ridiculous shade of green. All the serial numbers are visable. After comparing the frame to a Giant I'm pretty certain that it isn't. I asked another friend and he said he was sure it is a Bianchi frame. I tried to search serial numbers online but had no luck other than that the frame hasn't been reported as stolen. Is there a way to determine the manufacturer by the serial number? Did I possibly get the bargain of the century? Thanks
