  1. Going from dart to tora isn't really an upgrade...More like a swop...
  2. oh and: 5. Seeding systems!!!
  3. I want to be able to get in my car and drive to a supplier and get it there - TODAY!!! But I can smell that is not going to happen so I will order one today and then it takes forever to ship from PMB to PTA. And it will get lost in the post/delayed for 6 weeks...Jy weet mos.
  4. The game wasn't the thriller I thought it would be. If this was the semi finals, the Bulls and the Stormers would have lost... But that said, this wasn't the semi's and the Bulls won. Not because they were the better side but because they had a better gameplan. And a little luck when it came to the ref... Congrats to the Bulls.
  5. No not yet - as soon as I finsihed drinking my coffee and whatched the Klitschko fight...
  6. Nee rerig ouens - as julle die snert hier bo glo wat ek kweit raak sal julle seker enige iets glo... Genuine. Vrystaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!
  7. Why is it that a company lists a supplier for these kits and the supplier looks at you like "duh - what?" when you ask for a Enduro Bottom Bracket bearing kit?
  8. Dear Naas, What is your definition of a real MTB'er?
  9. And just as I was starting to feel better, I get an sms from my LBS informing me that there will be rides tomorrow - and them is doing the 40km track of the 1st Nissan series on the 5th of June. So now I am p'd off again...Cause the LBS's nam is SINGLETRACK!!!!
  10. I have one...but the wife keeps hogging the trainer!!! Nah, I am just p'd off for working tomorrow.
  11. I am sorry, I do!!! I hate the damn things!!! The other day I was in a store listing to some woman chatting away to some oke about amazing singletrack somewhere...AND SHE WENT ON AND ON AND ON AND ON!!!! What is up with singletrack? It's a piece of koeie paadjie waar ek 9/10 keer agter 'n dikgat op 'n Spez beland wat 10km/h in sy friggen granny gear ry...So I can't "enjoy" the single track at MY pace and leisure!!! I hate it when organisers brand there races as having 75% singletrack! WTF???? All it does is create congestion!!! That is all it does!!! There are always some 10km fun riders screwing it up!!!! Single track does not belong in a race!!! Single track should be ridden and never raced!!! (Of dalk is ek nie P'doff omdat ek more moet werk...En eintlik mind ek nie die single track nie)
  13. I am not so positve that this thread is negative... I feel like the Swiss...All neutral n'oll
  14. Stormers - because the wife told me so!
  15. On the topic of power to weight ratio - Let is do some maths: Rider weight: 75kg's Average power ouptut: 250 watts Bike weight: 12 kg's Power to weight ratio: 2.87:1 if the rider drops 5kg body weight: 3.05:1 if the rider increases his output power to 280 watts a 75kg: 3.21:1 So from the above: 1. increase power 2. lose body weight - this is a nice spin off from number 1! 3. Spend a sh*t load of money if you have it.
  16. I don't even know what my bike weighs. I know for a fact that there are lighter bikes out there...BUT they usually finish behind me in a race. I weighed myself yesterday - was sitting pretty at about 88kg's. Having a sub 9kg bike is not going to make me faster... My wife weighs around 48kg's. I have upgraded some parts on her bike to make it lighter...It did improve her times in races...That and the fact the she "owns" her bike these days!!! BUT, I am still faster than my wife. My point being - it is not about the friggen weight of the bike or the rider!!! POWER TO WEIGHT RATIO - that is what counts!!! MJ loves MTB2010-05-21 02:30:07
  17. I bought a Manitou R7 for R5k from CRC...The nice thing is the service manual that came with the fork...DIY baby, just the way I like it!!!
  18. True, but me, I would rather wait for something that is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay cheaper somewhere else!! Even if I have to miss a couple of races!!!
  19. Honestly, I will buy stuff at the place where I can get it the cheapest. But I won't order a R50 item from an online store - I would rather buy the R60 item at my LBS...BUUUUUUUUUUUUT, I will buy the R5k rand item from the online store when my LBS want's to rip me off at R7.5K...
