    I met a guy recently on a group ride who was just coming back after injury. We got chatting and it turns out he only had one lung from training full tilt on rollers at home and wiping out so badly that a part of his bike stabbed into his lung and caused other serious injuries. Poor guy. So heavy

    The Race is scoring epic weather today, Perfect in P.E. Hope its the same for the repeat next week. Does anyone have space in the car for one up to Willowmore next week from P.E? Alternatively I have a Caddy we could load but need someone to drive it back to P.E? Steve 083 295 2928

    Great thread guys, any suggestions for preferred tyres in 2.2 for marathon riding with some sidewall protection and not too heavy with decent rolling resistance that will seat without a compressor?

    Complete waste of time. Buy a boost wheel from rapide. Super light and great price.

    I recently put a 30/35mm 29r front rim on a bike and can not believe how light it is. With tape and valve it came in at 842g.

    I am thinking of getting a double suss tallboy. Most of my riding is marathon type stuff. Not too worried about trail performance - just comfort on long days on gravel roads. The Tallboy has a horizontal back shock setup so I have two questions. Is the geometry comfortable and is the pedal stroke efficient - I have heard the vertical shock setup - like the Giant maestro has less peddle bob. Can anyone verify?

    Just got a bill from Dawn Wing couriers with a 60% surcharge for a pair of Giro shoes from wiggle. R 2066.00 extra. Stressful.

    Does it not make sense to ride on the opposite side of the road so you can see cars/trucks coming towards you - drunk or busy on phone or veering.There is no disadvantage to motorists at all as the cyclist takes the same space whether he is travelling toward the traffic or away from it.
