  1. You will do that anyway towing a trailer.
  2. I have a fixed rack on my venter trailer. It is great but the fact that it is not easy to remove is a problem and taking the front wheel off the bike is also a paid, especially if you are a family of 4. If you have roof rails try and get the Thule system where the bike just fits on wheel and all. Easy on, easy off.
  3. Thanks Mampara
  4. All the talk of learning how the component work and fit together. Where can I do a basic maintenance course in GP?
  5. There will always be a % of people that are not happy with a race but in all honesty what happened at the finish is not acceptable. There are a small % of guys and girls that get a chance to win the race and they should get an open road to do it. We dont like racing against bikes and cars and taxi's on the road during training rides, why should the riders lives be at risk because it is a race?
  6. It is similar to the one in national geographic with the camels running in the desert. Cool Pic.
  7. I would not want to put the worn back tyre on the front. Rather have the grip on the front.
  8. Jacko, You seem to be very pasionate about what you are doing. Well done, organising these events takes up a lot of effort and time. Maybe put reminders on this site going forward with all the relevant details. Peoples details change and they are not always comunicated through. The more distribution channels the more people (and poeple) get to know about the events. Keep up the good work.
  9. I drank 10l plus on the 104ks, I am just VERY greatful that I was able to get that much. Well done to all those that worked the water holes, without them it would have been painfull to say the least and most would not have finished. There were a LOT of full waterbotles that had falled off bike, go with the camel pack and pack as much fuel as you can carry.... Well done to all those that finished and to the poor guy that fell and "broke his hip" hope it mends quickly
  10. Just complied my playlist of 101 songs for the Crater Cruise on Saturday. Hopefully I will not need all 101 but some great tracks. Thanks Guys and Gals firefox2009-10-08 08:57:26
  11. Allways, thats why a complete stranger will help you fix your puncture, people dont stop when you have a flat driving your Car. Hello everyone:)
  12. Go chat to the Guys at Morningsidecycles. They brought in a whole wack of frames when the Rand was strong. Each bike bought is buit for you and your budget.
  13. Where is this ride exactly?
  14. Done
  15. thehermanator What's safe to you may be studip to someone else and vice versa. I am glad you are all up for running the red when its safe...I guess just like the Taxi's. It's safe because people will get out of my way..untill someone does not. Dont worry I have done the same many times....untill you actually see someone get hit, your view changes pretty quick after that.
  16. If you dont have a lot to say you never get off home base...... How long has the HUB been going for? Anyone know?
  17. SO 50 is the number then??
  18. Does anyone know how many posts are needed per level?
  19. So if I post 20 thats makes me more "trustworthy" than not posting 20 Cool did not realise it was that easy. At least we can get our morning laugh at the expense of us ROOKIES.. If I keep going like this I will be able to sell my bike for twice what I paid for it.....
  20. Hi Hubbers I am riding a Speialized stumpy with a Fox Triad rear shock. What pressure should I be riding with? I have read the Shock set up manual and watched the video. I am running it at 250 PSI which drops to around 240 when I unscrew the pump. I Weight 96kgs and the rubber washer is sitting at the bottom of the shock at the end of each ride? Is this normal or is the pressure to low?
  21. Go to your local golf shop and get those plastic golf balls and put them inside the bladder when not in use. Helps with drying and stops the mould from growing. Thats once you have cleaned it firefox2009-08-13 05:38:15
