  1. Think a 34T with 11-46 is all the gears you will need. I ride an oval and it is much easier on my knees. Also "feels" like I climb better on an oval
  2. Thanks guys. Moved the cleats to the inside of the shoe and also angled the cleat slightly inwards Will have to test and see what happens. Otherwise will look at bikefit option
  3. Now that I think of it, not my smartest move. Will do the opposite
  4. Hi guys Having issues with my left shoe rubbing against the crank arm, usually when I am getting tired or struggling against the wind or on a steep climb. I have been riding Look S-Track pedals on a 175mm crank without issues for quite a while. Now recently I have made the following changes 175mm crank changed to 170mm crank arm Look S-Track pedals changed to Shimano XTR M9100 pedals with the shorter 52mm spindle (not the std 55mm spindle) Somehow this change has caused only my left foot to start rubbing on the crank. These are some of the things I have tried to remedy this. Moved the cleats to the outside of the shoes to try and keep the heel further away from the crank arm Inserted 2-3 spacers on the left to get the pedal further away from the crank Increased release tension on the pedals to near max None of these helped. I have ridden Shimano M520 pedals (std spindle) on other bikes before that all had 175mm cranks, never had this issue. Don't want to damage my crank and shoes, what else can I try? Cleats from Ryder or Look X-Track with less float?
  5. Doubt it will be less than R6000 for the 530. Rather stick to my 520
  6. Very true. This is also the same with bikes (maybe stuff like 2015 and older). Some sellers are just adverting for unreasonable amounts, close to cost of new models A bike already loses so much value immediately after you get it new from a store. Warranty ect. I have been looking at for a reasonable hardtail, but the pricing is just to high
  7. Delay after delay. Originally was supposed to be shipped last year November
  8. Rode a 2016 Merida 96 XT for a while. Very fast bike, but handling was pretty twitchy. My new Scott Spark RC 900 is much more sure footed and more capable on technical stuff
  9. 1H 10M for 31km with all the stops you did. Damn that is fast
  10. Whatever is cheaper. XT 1x11 or NX 1x11 1x12 is a nice gimmick. I am not a strong rider and 34T x 11-46 is more than enough for anything I have ever ridden
  11. Happy you got away safely I ride there a lot, will tell other riders to be wary
  12. Reasonably happy with my 2.35 Ikon upfront, as I am looking for better rolling rather than cornering So maybe my question for the rear tyre is more 2.25 vs 2.35? The Rekon Race just looks fast Have to do a lot of riding on tarmac
  13. Hi guys Looking for a fast rolling rear for hardpack, gravel and tar. Maxxis Aspen 2.25 or Maxxis Rekon Race 2.35?
  14. My latest order took 10days from order to delivery in Worcester
  15. Update 2h ago, delay after delay Hi everyone! In our last update two weeks ago, we showed you the first finished power meters and were looking forward to do some in-depth testing before shipping it over to our first crowdfunding backers and professionals like DC Rainmaker, GCN and GP Lama. In the meantime, we have indeed been extensively testing these first units. In this phase, we encountered some hiccups that we are now trying to solve. It seems that one of the power meter components influences the power readings in a way that is challenging to fix with software. As a startup, the quality of the product that we want to deliver is our number one priority. Therefore, we’ll be testing and trying out different solutions all throughout the weekend and will get back to you with another update in the course of next week. There are always a number of solutions to a problem, but they all come with different timelines. Obviously, we’re looking for a way to adapt the current units within a manageable time frame. Feel free to keep reaching out through customer support and thanks for staying in touch. Kind regards and have a good weekend, Team iQsquare
  16. If you have a signage company nearby, you might be able to get some clear vynil off cuts they throw out
  17. Probably sensible, but the price will almost definitely be quite a bit higher
  18. Anyone bought one of these power meters yet? Know shipping is about to start (maybe) and is way behind schedule At 129 Euro (shipping 20 Euro) it is quite an attractive price. Still now reviews available and probably will only ship in April Anyone going to take a chance?
  19. Hi guys Interested to hear what spare you carry on a normal ride (anything above 30km). Really want to cut down on the unnecessary extras. Currently riding with all these Spare tube Topeak multi-tool with tyre levers and chain tool 16g + 25g CO2 cannisters Topeak mini pump Power link Valve tool CO2 inflator Tube patch Tyre boot (Sidewall cuts) Ryder slug plug Am I the only carry this much?
  20. Kings Cycles in Worcester gave me a Black Friday special
  21. Yes good option. Bought mine end of November brand new for R42 000
  22. Also think my modest power output won't flex any crank
  23. Thanks for talking me out of spending money
  24. So about R4500-R7000 to save 100grams
