  1. Also interested, the Scout looks like great value
  2. I was looking at getting a getting an HT, but is difficult to get a good deal. For me the price should drop quite a bit even if the bike is reletavely new due to the warranty not being carried over Stuff are just way overpriced
  3. Definitely parts online. Been using Bike24 and R2 Bike a lot from Germany, works out cheaper on bigger orders. Bought last two bikes at lbs at amazing prices. Propably just more convenient shopping online
  4. Had a 2016 Merida 96 6000. Very fast bike, but felt more twitchy and unstable through turns then my current Scott Spark But really fast bike
  5. Any injuries for the main gc guys in the crash
  6. How do they run at these lower pressures? Don't feel too flat?
  7. Looks like the GP5000 has the best protection of the more racier options, maybe thats why it is also slightly heavy at 300g for a 25C Would love to run a 28C, but think I might struggle to fit one at the back
  8. I had the 25C of these, both got cut pretty quickly, Maybe was just bad luck and not bad tires But yes, the rolled really well, pretty comfy and was quite light (think about 255g for the TLR)
  9. Appears to be a bit hit and miss. My Hutchinson Fusion 5 both did not last long and both got cut with less than a 1000km on each Vittoria Corsa 2.0 I am running now are decent, but don't seem to roll very fast (or at least feels that way compared to my GP4000 clinchers I had). They hold air well and grip well in the wet. Ride is a bit harsh, but think I am running my pressures to high. Still at 7bar rear and 6.7bar front (I am about 80kg), maybe need to go closer to 6bar.
  10. Things have really gone downhill since the 2017 TDF top 10
  11. I have some older (think 2015) Spez Pro XC shoes, so I hope these fit about the same LG and Giro shoes have also been fine for me, but normal Sidi's crush my small toe
  12. I am able to get some clearance stock of the Specialized S-Works 6 shoes. Just tricky ordering without trying on. Reviews look good Anyone know if these shoes run narrow/small? Can't get along with narrow shoes like Sidi
  13. Would say about middle of the pack, maybe trying to buy some speed/efficiency
  14. Will there be specials in store if requested? I am looking for shoes, but can only decide when I have tried them on
  15. Will definitely be between BOA and laces All the nice lace options seem to be Giro, but I also like the BOA options from Shimano and Specialized
  16. Think the bike is too good for my kit 2019 Giant TCR Advanced Pro 1 Disc https://www.giant-bicycles.com/za/tcr-advanced-pro-1-disc
  17. Yes will definitely be going for the BOA closure system. So seems a stiffer sole will be better for road cycling and maybe gravel riding?
  18. Hi guys Just a quick question regarding shoes and the effect they have on your cycling. I am currently riding midrange shoes (R1800-R2000), Giro Savix (Road) and Giro Cylinder (MTB). These shoes are very comfortable and there is now issues riding longer distances Will one be able to feel a difference going to R4000+ shoes with very stiff carbon soles? Are these soles going to make a noticeable difference to power transfer? Will one notice stronger pedaling on a Spez shoe for carbon sole with a 13 rating on their index? Both my current shoes have Nylon injected soles
  19. Hope he has better support riders than at the Giro where he was alone most of the time
  20. Don't understand their process at all. My parcel was stuck at customs at JIMC for 3 weeks. Now it is at customs at Capemail. Why does it have to go through customs twice?
  21. Had good luck when my parcels get to Capemail. JIMC however don't pick up phones or respond to emails
