  1. Target time for DC?
  2. Why bite the hand that feeds you, tsk tsk
  3. If you are going to use your motorbike on the trail please don't use Strava (or at least hide your ride from the segment leaderboard).
  4. Reports of a second cycled that passed on. Condolences to both cyclist.
  5. I saw this guy laying face down next to the vines. Kudos to the guys that stopped to assist and warn oncoming cyclist. Anyone know what happened and if the rider is ok.
  6. I'm glad that entries did not sell a quickly as previous years. Hopefully measures will now be put in place to prevent a last minute shortening of the route due to protest.
  7. Michael Phelps smoked weed and went into win gold in the Olympics....
  8. Exactly my sentiment.
  9. C-D bunch was sleeping. Only a handful at the start and it seems like everyone finished together.
  10. I did not see this when I did my entry.
  11. Yes I was registered with PPA.
  12. Entered, But paid R510 even though I'm registered with PPA.????
  13. Did the 60km and all I can say is that it was brutal. The ST on hilcrest was too overcrowded. The view from the top of Bloemendal was spectacular even though getting there claimed a lung. Saw a few red boards taking shortcuts as well, but that's non of my business.
  14. Was riding in A as well. It seemed like the whole group stuck together all the way to vissershok whereafter the men got separated from the boys. Having a marshal follow the group all the way does make one feel kind of special though.
  15. Was invited to ride it twice, and Would've been great to do it, but 3 CtCt race entry fees in one month is a bit much.
  16. Felt so sorry for the lady that crashed on vissershok road. I hope she recoveres before the epic.
  17. I never stop on a road race under 110km. You stop, you lost the group.
  18. Stick to what you know and have used before. Do not try anything new on race day. The last thing you want is to find out that your new found "muti" does not agree with your system. On a side note though, most people (myself included) always get butterflies in the stomach on race day. I would suggest clearing the stomach before leaving home is important as well.
  19. Actually his team mate won and Jade cane second, but yeah
  20. Well done Team Alpha Bodyworks
  21. Bosman #4 Marathon - 65km / 1748m Ascent The race starts off in exciting fashion by taking riders through the spectacular Val du Charron Wine and Olive Estate, and 5-star guesthouse directly. Riders then go onto some of the best sections of the Bains Mountain Bike Trails at Welvanpas, but staying high and splitting from the 40km going deep around the valley. Doolhof Wine Estate will provide a scenic backdrop when True Grit will test skills and stamina before riders climb up to the Bains Kloof Pass, and enter baboon territory on Aap d Huez. Route 66 will provide much joy with its flowing downhill single track. Now, only Cliffhanger and Rodeo remains before riders will encounter the world-famous Bobsled, and finish off with the thrill of Cool Runnings. The race venue, Bosman Family Vineyards, will ensure riders experience true Cape Winelands beauty and hospitality.Bring your family along and make them all experience the excitement of mountain biking!
  22. Its not english Its "frenglish"
  23. Trailseeker #3 in the Western Cape was my first and I'm hooked. Looking forward to Trailseeker #4 - Bosman.
  24. One thing that I've learnt is that regular commuters are "purse" strong, especially those on mtb's.
