  1. Having had a stroke recently, I am not willing to give up on my passion for mountain biking, although this is somewhat of a new challenge I’m seriously thinking of moving to wards hand cycling to get me back out there again are there any active hand cyclist here tha c offer me advice on how to get into the next chapter of my cycling lie?
  2. Thanks for the suggestions all, greatly appreciated.
  3. hi all, I need to replace bearings and spindle on the above Garmin peddles, any idea where I can get spares from?
  4. Greetings fellow cyclists.... Anyone know of a reputable retailer running good deals on Assos Bib Shorts? Appreicate the help, thanks a million.
  5. 450km done, and loving every minute of it. So far, replaced the handle bar grips as stock grips are hard ops the hands. Find I work just as hard as I do on my analogue bike, just go a tad faster and tad bit further. On the single tracks, its an absolute pleasure....so much fun.
  6. oooops sorry, not always on the forum. I weight 96kgs, am riding fit and manage assistance levels to maximise my distance. elevation gain was 684m.
  7. bought the bike, ridden over 200km in a week on it. all I can say is wow! It feels like you are cheating.... its no normal e-bike, you have to manage the battery and assistance levels if you want to do any distance. So far I've managed to finish a 52km ride with 4% left in reserve. but that also means you ride a fair amount with no assistance. I love it!
  8. Today I got to take one for a test ride.... Well, this has now left me absolutely infatuated with this bike. I like the fact that its the most un-ebike e-bike around. My mate (who I hadn't told that I was demo-ing and ebike) didn't even notice that I was on an bike, other than how impressed he was that I could stick with him on the climbs. (he thought I was on "the juice"...) The motor was silent, the assistance from it is so programable that its mind blowing.... Im in love! Oh, and my order also went into Trek today...wait about a month to take delivery.
  9. im seriously considering this bike, by all accounts it ticks all the right boxes. But before I lay out my hard earned cash, id like to enquire if there is any feedback that can be shared with regards to this bike model? The good, the bad and the ugly is what im asking....
  10. Wasn't a joke, rain, cold and wind as a combination are extremely dangerous. Those following the race will note that over 700 riders withdrew , or were stopped before CP1 by the organisers. Race turned ugly for us back markers, hyperthermia got many riders..... Not great.
  11. Im in need of 29 x2.40 front and rear for my trek tope fuel EX9.8. I ride mostly cross country tho. Currently running Bontregger team, but I'm finding these tyre harder to peddle and feel slower. On my Scott I have Maxxis Ardent Race which really run well. Im just wondering if its an actual fact and not just my head playing games with me, but the MAxxis feel like they roll much easier. Anyone able to shed light on this? Is it really possible for a tyre to make such a big difference.
  12. im sorry, but either my understanding of the English language isn't on par or your statement is rather vague? kindly do clarify? My feedback is that the response ive received to an advert placed has been met with ridiculous offers, not to hard to comprehend that further clarity is sought.

    Why?

Peeps, Im absolutely appalled by the response I've had to an advert placed, people have no shame in offering you 50 to 60% of asking price of item that's on offer....then get all bent out of shape when you tell them to take a hike! It just blows my mind.
  14. hey all, Im wanting to lean up (winter spread is setting in) and get my shape back for summer.... Any diet advice will be greatly appreciated.
