  1. Does this happen on all gears, or just the top gear? Could be derailleur alignment, check the limit screws and the B-tension screw.
  2. Can somebody please share Luke from Tranny RSA's details with me? Looking for Transition Bike please
  3. With the wet weather we are experiencing at the moment in the Cape, I am having a little trouble with my brake levers. I am running Sram Guide RSC and when my levers get wet from rain or brushing against wet branches, I struggle to hold on, on long decents. I'm scared I might have a miss-hap one of these days when I need it most. I gave it some though and have some ideas, but would love your input: 1. Stick skateboard grip tape on the lever. Only downside it the wear on my gloves or roasting my fingers if bare handed 2. drill holes in the lever like on my dropper lever. Pro: weight saving!, Con: might affect the lever integrity 3. Rough up the surface with a file/grit paper. What are your thoughts on giving a brake?
  4. Yes, the frame is definitely long enough to take the holy rail and one on the seat tube.
  5. Yeah! Got it from an awesome hubber!
  6. Yes, I have actually purchased a moustache style handlebar and was toying with the idea to go a bit more cruiser style, but I like the versatility to put on knobblies and tear up a trail or 2.
  7. Now I know it has street tyres on, but you can easily run a set of knobblies on here too! Really like this setup and had to share
  8. I'll hang onto your car keys whilst you go riding 😉
  9. Finally did the build of the Medium Black Tigre. Looking really nice in my bias opinion.
  10. This is the best unit to use from lyne and is more streamline and looks good on the bike. https://www.on-lynecomponents.com/collections/the-holy-rail/products/holy-rail-triangle-storage-box-kit-quick-draw-multitool
  11. If you see that travel, the chain guide is more for when Im going over the rocky terrain. Same reason I have a slapsock on!
  12. I converted my touring bike into a commuting eBike. Got it from a guy in Melkbosstrand, its a Bafang motor with all the wiring and controllers you need. Only cost me R12,000 for a 1500W motor, controller and Battery. Runs up to 55km/h easily. But is pretty scary at that speed!! Charge for free at work, so costs nothing to run.
  13. So I have built 2 Tigre hardtails and going to re-build a third one on a black frame by the end of the month. I can really say Steel is the way to go! it does absorb the bumps more than your aluminium hardtail frames. and these aggressive geometry frames inspires confidence when going downhill
  14. This is what their website says, so perhaps its just the discounted rate, but very confusing Local board Allows for trail access on: A2Z (Grabouw) / Helderberg Farm / Wine Lands Cycling Club. Adult 19 - 64 years - cost of annual membership R750 Junior Board < 18 years - cost of annual membership R300 Senior board > 65 years - cost of annual membership R500 Click here to join the club
  15. I did the maths and something does not add up. Tygerberg mentions that you get the Winelands local membership at 50% off. then continues to say it costs R550. But on the Winelands site, the local membership costs R750, so 50% off should be R375, not R550. Mmmmm
  16. Thought I'd share my Tigre too. Basically Mostly Rapide parts or Lyne. Running a Pike Ultimate 29er with 150mm travel. I have the drop-out as far in as possible for a very agile feel. Bike climbs very well and gives great confidence on the downhill. Picture below was tacking it down Dorsberg on Meerendal farm.
  17. I chatted to them via the website and they dont have any pictures of a build yet. So perhaps I can get some discount if I promise to send them pics of my build
  18. Do you know if anybody has built up a bike with this frame? I'm really tempted to pull the trigger, but wanted to know what the end product would look like before I did it.
  19. I thought I noticed a South African accent from the GMBN feature! Well done on the bike build and the great recognition of your work on the Youtube channel. big ups!
  20. Thank you very much guys! Really helpful! Where do I get a helicoil? Or should stoke just sort me out on this one?
  21. I was being over excited fitting my front caliper on my suspension fork and accidentally over-tightened the caliper and consequently stripped the thread on the bottom bolt. Now the caliper moves slightly under hard braking, meaning that when I release the one pad still touches the rotor. Is this something that can be fixed, or am I in for buying new lowers? Many thanks in advance for your answers and opinions
