  1. Hey Guys Just gonna chime in a bit here with some facts on the dropper play debate. All droppers of all brands will have play of some sort. Without this they won't operate smoothly and swiftly when you need them to. We often get enquiries from first time dropper owners who are unaware that this is a totally normal part of owning a dropper post. Dropper play will vary from brand to brand, some starting out great, and getting extremely bad, others with small amounts that don't worsen much over time. The amount of play comes down to machining tolerances and materials (which are also proportionate to the price), as well as the design of the post. It's got nothing to do with the cartridge style that the post has uses as well as cable tension. Our posts typically wear in over the first couple of hours of riding and stay pretty consistent thereafter. We're using 7075 alloy as well as three bushings on our latest version internal post to try and combat play. The tolerances are extremely fine when manufacturing a dropper post, so the amount of play will vary between production runs. We have seen very high end dropper brands (some mentioned earlier in this thread) with terribly sloppy posts on the showroom floor, and others from the same brand out in the market with incredibly small amounts of play after years of riding. So there is a certain level of inconsistency between production runs. The most important question to ask though, is whether the play in any brand of dropper, is affecting your ride. When weight is applied to a dropper the keys are forced in to keyways reducing sideward play, the bushing are loaded rearward due to the seat angle, so the result is actually very little movement whilst riding. Most dropper play is noticed or tested whilst standing along side the bike with no weight on the post and may appear exaggerated compared to actual riding conditions. If anyone has any issues or queries with one of our droppers please feel free to get in touch any time and we'll gladly assist. Cheers Dayle
  2. Thanks Rudi I would appreciate the feedback. Cheers Dayle
  3. Our idea with the shorter prong design was to avoid over insertion leading to rim tape damage or pushing the plug fully in to the tyre and loosing it. The other idea is to have a solution that plugs just deep enough that the plug doesn't need to be trimmed. Whats important is that the plug is pushed in to the cavity around the prong for it to work, if not it will limit how deep you can push in the plug.
  4. Hi Rudi Sorry to hear your Shred Zeppelin didn't perform as it should have. Before shipping out the product we made a change to the O-ring size to allow for a better punching on certain bombs with a concave seal. It seem you may have received one with the incorrect O-ring, we'll send out a replacement unit for you today. As for the plug side, our plug applicator falls within the same dimensions as most popular applicators on the market (image below) so I am interested if the performance would have been any different. Was the hole perhaps pretty large to begin or in a difficult position along the tyre bead? We plugged a lot of tyres with our prototypes without fail, so your feedback is important for us for future product improvements. Cheers Dayle
  5. Thanks for the heads up! Was this a medium frame?
  6. Hi Guys Holy Rail Blog/Archive is live: https://www.lynecomponents.com/blog If you could be so kind as to send us photos of your working Holy Rail setups, this will greatly help your fellow cyclists. You can email them to me at info@lynecomponents.com Thanks Dayle
  7. Hi Dwayne Thanks for posting the pic. What size frame is that? Thanks Dayle
  8. Hi Unfortunately I cant answer that confidently. I believe the dimensions should be similar but wouldn't want to recommend it unless I'm 100% sure. I will keep an eye out if one gets fitted to that model. Cheers Dayle
  9. Sorry for the delay on this, you can thank customs for seizing the shipment of straps! Trying to get them out ASAP. Cheers Dayle

  11. Hi Here is a 1:1 Scale diagram. Please note that bottle sizes may vary slightly between bottle manufacturers. Cheers Dayle DUAL CAGE DIAGRAM.pdf

  15. Scott Spark 2016- Carbon Frame Size: Size L Bottles: 650ml & 750ml Notes: More compact 650ml bottle could make a little more space under the shock.
  16. Hi Guys Sorry for being so distant on this thread, we have been inundated with queries about this product since launching it. We have had a few queries with concerns about loading the two bottle cage bolts with the extra weight. Our opinion is this: Loading up these bolts is not a new concept, people have been running larger bottles up to 1L with extra adapters and for pumps & bombs etc. for years. And some have indeed failed, which is most likely related to poor quality rivnuts or over/under torqued bottle cage bolts. If you have bottle cage bolt/rivnut failure then you will most likely have this using a regular setup or a Holy Rail. That said, we would recommend adding reinforcement straps (coming soon) to longer rail setups. Like in Sepias case, he opted to try the 500mm rail without a strap and was unhappy with the stability. For the 260mm rail we are confident that straps are not necessary, but those who are weary could still add them for their own peace of mind. The last thing, which I think is not considered, is the fact that the rail is a hollow profile. We tried to find the right balance of stiffness versus forgiveness in the profile. The result is an adequately stiff profile that does allow a bit of give if the rail receives a side impact from a crash or aggressive use of the bottle cage. We believe the rail would fail and twist before damaging the frame should it encounter a serious amount of force. The rubber skirt also works as a damper to stop vibration travelling between the frame and the rail and helps preload the rail when tightened down. About compatibility, we are trying our best to compile some solutions on to a blog, but as said above, have been inundated with enquiries so will do so when time allows so. In the mean time I am going to post some setups we got working so far below. Please email us with any pictures and info of your working setups to info@lynecomponets.com Cheers Dayle
  17. Glad you came right. Our Shimano style driver is MTB spec so shouldnt need spacers for mtb 10 & 11 speed cassettes. Cheers Dayle
  18. Hi Mawbs We are considering it for future orders for sure. Not immediately though. Cheers Dayle
  19. Hi Mongoose The thinking behind our wheelsets was to look at the issues that very wide & lightweight wheels are having and try to overcome them with some different thinking. Conventional thinking says remove weight on the outside, because that's rotational weight, but this doesn’t take in to consideration that this is the same area receiving the abuse on impact. We opted for a more robust rim profile with high-end lightweight spokes and hubs to keep weight down because at the end of the day the fastest wheels are the ones that get you to the finish line Also by using a slightly narrower profile (Pulse) the durability isnt hampered because the walls of the rim don’t have to be excessively thin to keep the weight competitive. In our opinion a 25mm internal profile with a 2,1-2,25" tyre is a good balance of tyre stability, durability and lightweight for Marathon and XC. AMP is best paired with 2,25-2,5" tyres for trail use. Cheers Dayle
  20. Hi TheJ Rim weights are as follows: Pulse 25: 29" 440g Amp 30: 27,5" 465g, 29" 495g Cheers Dayle
  21. Hi Splat Rider weight limits are as follows: Pulse 25: Under 90kg AMP 30: Under 120kg We will be offering rim options soon, but not right away. Cheers
