Passed two of my clubs' group rides the other day. I was not in club kit and I certainly dont expect them to recognise me. Greeted both groups and only one person greeted back... Friendly club!
Also use a Buff, but cut mine in half, so that I have two now... But I cycle with it all the time, and I agree with Woofie, best thing ever! It's seemless, so the helmet does'nt squeeze a 'pipeline' into your forehead as with other beanies

The same thing happens in the mornings on the road when guys go jogging and wagter is jogging with, without a leash. On the positive side, they do give good interval training
Every now and then Cyclists are in the firing line for riding abreast. So this morning on my training ride, I encounter 3 runners, running abreast. Of course they are running in my lane, and as I approached them, they would not move behind each other or run on the sidewalk! I had to move out of the way!
