  6. Recumbent....hahaa Het jou katvis.....
  7. Ah but the faster you go, the more wind resistance affects you....AERO!!!!! But yes....forget weight...train more, eat less
  8. Is this a trick question Dips...like Oprah Winfrey, Carika Keuzenkamp, Boy George marry one, shoot one, spyker one?

  11. Oh koot nooooo, as in never....ever. That simply wont fly
  12. I think you are not giving enough credit to your road crank....that to me defines a road or mtb.
  13. you have no idea....white skoens, shaved chest, aero this, skinsuite that.
  14. eish 200Watts will get you about 26km/h on tar
  15. http://www.kreuzotte...lish/espeed.htm Enjoy....you can play for hours with different inputs
  16. If you weigh 80kg and your bike weighs 8kg you will have to maintain 200W to get your 30km/h avg for the duration of the race...if the race is flat all the way
  17. How much do you weigh? I will quickly calculate your bike's weight for that avg
  18. We don't ride the tech bits like the world cup athletes do(speed)...maybe the question should rather be, considering the speed at which we hit rock gardens / tech bits, do we really need the travel. How is that for a stir? And to answer your question all 29er owners are dirt roadies....they have made peace with this label. Another stir..
  19. Netso willem..... Ek deel nie my pomp of shammy room nie...al vra mense ook hoe mooi.
  20. n pomp is n pomp....like they say in the classics
  21. Sure....all adds up.
  22. As much weight as a full suspension bike???....with pivots and shocks and lockouts???...I have / had three 29er hardtails. All medium Alu =niner emd was 1600g Carbon = fongkong = 1100g Steel = Vassago Verhauen = 2000g For a 900g penalty in weight, I would take the steel any day of the week considering the compliance I am getting mahala, nevermind steel being quite tough. Just some food for thought. If you want an all out racing bike where speed and weight is the most important, carbon frame and rigid fork with a 1 x 11 setup...uber light, uber fast....uber uncomfortable. Stage racing will be a hard on this beast I won't lie.
  23. Nope they too busy laughing at the off-roaders fighting about wheel size.
  24. The thing with sinkplaat is it makes you tired...its relentless and doesnt stop...its isn't big bumps or drops...but thousands of little ones....the big drops, rocks and what have you are a breeze because they are not continuous. People often think those are the ones that will hurt the most, but they are nothing....its sinkplaat that will kill you on a rigid. Oh and for the rear....easy one to solve. Built in material suspension...aka steel. Again no pivot servicing and just enough "travel" or lets rather say compliance to take the edge off the bumpy stuff.....all you need
