  1. Thanks to those that helped. Owner has been found and things are sorted.
  2. Thanks for connecting me. I've reached out and will get it back in due course.
  3. I didn't determine it was stolen, I think that's an assumption you've made. I pulled the guy over and asked him where he got the bike. He said he found it while scavenging on Table Mountain. I suggested we go and take it to a police station to try find the owner. He was not interested in that and got a little hostile. I asked what he was going to do with it. He said sell it in Wynberg. I made a call and gave him some money there and then as i believed it was the most likely way of getting the bike back to it's owner. I realise there may be debate as to whether this was the right approach or not. It is however what I did in the heat of the moment. My intention is to get the bike back to the owner and do not wish to get drawn into a hub forum ethics debate please.
  4. I haven't involved SAPS, I don't really have the time or inclination - my intention is to get the bike back to its owner and hoping the Hub community could be of assistance to make that happen. Thanks for the recommendation though.
  5. I've come into possession of a Tallboy through odd circumstances in Kenilworth in Cape Town evening 9th Jan. It's a couple years old but in immaculate condition. See pic for detail. If it is yours or you know who's it is, connect with me and I'll get it back to you.
  6. Not sure if i've posted this correctly but I have found the bike and am trying to find the owner. Perhaps someone familiar with the HUB knows a better way to post this. Cheers
  7. Stolen: Santa Cruz Tallboy 2013 When: 9 January 2020 Where: Cape Town, Western Cape I've come into possession of a Tallboy through strange circumstances in Kenilworth in Cape Town today. It's a couple years old but in immaculate condition. See pic of it. If it is yours or you know who's it might be, connect with me and I'll get it back to you. Get further details about the incident in the Stolen Bikes section
  8. Anyone doing the 100km ride on Saturday who could possibly give me a lift back to the start afterwards? I'll provide as much beer as you can drink on the way back.
  9. Is there really a medical test requirement?
  10. I will certainly be riding the route next Sunday. Whether it's timed, there is a start and finish line, CSA sanctioned, roads closed or not. It's beautiful out there and roads are quiet and in great condition. At most there is a 50km stretch where there isn't a pub, farm stall, hotel, spaza shop that serves drinks, food etc. If you've spent your money booking, I think you would be crazy not to go down and ride around the midlands anyway.
  11. Sorry BMonster and the others I took out at 111km. Lapse of concentration and just too much mess all around and I think and clipped the wheel in front. Out of interested was that the front group of A or was there another break?
  12. Also buy a Royal Enfield and travel around the country. Drop me a line I feel you want some tips on things to do and places to visit.
