  1. I have purchased a frame from the states...will cost me a 1500 if I need to warranty it...is what it is like you said
  2. uhm....check your avatar skills, it disagrees MUPPIT!!!
  3. Are you the original owner with proof of receipt? Lots of warranties only apply to original owners
  4. Love this post....ALOT well said blondie...nail on the head
  5. Post it....the more info the better. Again...please go and rate them. Can't understand this....how in the world is their name / brand / reputation worth this little. They just around the corner from me, won't go near their shop based on your experience.
  6. What would lance say... Yep....not about the bike
  7. Thanks for the headsup Bertus....please go and rate him as a seller and post a link to this thread.
  8. Sure, if you don't see the potential or most probably don't know how to use the technology I agree...it will seem gimmicky.
  9. Sure but the bushido review was done in 2011, his latest reviews of trainers in 2013 makes special mention that tacx has dropped the ball subsequently, like harryn says, their unwillingness to provide support and closed ecosystem are their biggest downfall...just like they raised the bar in 2011, so have wahoo and cyclops in 2013/2014 making TACX at this point in time irrelevant considering the price point they are playing in...They need to have a long chat with themselves and see where the market is heading. Get proper support system going instead if a forum hit and miss affair and relook their licensing model.
  10. Dead serious I would rather buy a cheapy than go for their top end trainers. Their buggy software is one thing....lack of support the other. Then another which seems to be specific to the bushido is its brake....Lots of reviews and people that own them speak of the brake not being smooth ito ramping...say you go from a 0% gradient to 7% there are reports of the brake kicking in soo hard that you can turn the pedal over even if you are standing on it. They also lock you into their software, so thinking of integrating into other apps won't happen...you are stuck with TTS and its subscriptions. Now lets not forget that you need a very very strong machine to run online racing and virtual environment on for TTS. This is an expense that I am not interested in after spending already a boat load of money, over and above a certain hubber found out you cannot transfer licenses between machines so if you get the spec wrong....it seems the only way is to buy another license. Piss poor imo. Then the magical price point...now you would think with the flaws above they would at least try and be competitive to maintain some sort of footprint in the market but alas....you can get a top end cycleops trainer(powerbeam pro) for the same price as the bushido. We also have a lekker community going with online racing and prizes, banter etc....not a deal breaker but a nice value add that just deals the knock out punch so to speak. I can appreciate the fact the you are willing to deal with bad support and the above mentioned and if it works for you then cool. Me however...can't be bothered spending a cent with them and glad I did my homework before buying one. PS...TACX didn't even make the DC rainmaker list of top trainers to have and he is quite thorough and impartial in his reviews...check it out http://www.dcrainmaker.com/2013/10/2013-trainer-recommendations.html
  11. No idea mnr....soz
  12. Sure.....these aren't cheap and cheerful tools... BUT if used properly they will be the best investment you can make in your cycling. More so than a new groupset or shiny wheels I can guarantee you that
  13. Besides that....I wouldn't get one even if it was R7500 or even half of that Top end trainers you looking at Kickr or Powerbeam...
  14. I think so yes....alternatively, you can download your or other peoples rides from garmin connect....there is an option to download as gpx file. Tip....if you want to pee on alot of people's batteries, download the spruit, then shunt through it taking every KOM on your IDT.. Would be moer funny
  15. Download previously ridden routes as gpx file...upload to IDT software as course
  16. You can toggle the activity to public or private....public means it will contend on leaderboards...private it won't. This is in strava under the little wrench icon
  17. The boys from powertap ran a good special on either their fluid or mangneto trainers a while ago....dont know if its still going, check with them
  18. No probs with campy....not like you can put anything else on an italian steed anyway...will be like a model smoking a pipe...just doesnt work
  19. ag nee...hulle rook tik by campy
  20. Sure...maybe XX1 can be excluded due to 1 piece machining or so I have heard
  21. Nope not saying it doesnt buy you much, just that you will be better off dropping to an entry level trainer cause there aint much more functionality you getting....aka no man's land. We are actually advising to not spend that much but rather go for something cheaper if budget cannot be extended
  22. Nothing against your post but I dont think that is good advice. Indoor training is mind numbing if you just sit there and spin your mielie off....for that exact reason its worth it to spend a bit more and get something that is stimulating...something with backup...something that will dare I say, make IDT sessions fun. Otherwise, it will just end up as a secondhand trainer on the classifieds...that you are suggesting the OP should buy.
  23. hahahahha you can't count the 102kg aunty you diced up the kloofzicht hill as a roadie...She was on a roadbike...that is where similarities stops.
