  5. When I go into most bike shops it's seldom I will see a helmet that is not suited to the road or XC purposes. There's countless options of them out there. It's not often you see something with some rear and side support – more focused on the trail and all mountain side of things. I set out to see what I could find that is readily available in South Africa. This is Part 2 of our helmet shootout, focussing on trail lids. Click here to view the article

  8. Hi guys Looking for some HELMET advice. In the market for a mtb helmet with a bit more protection than my current road specific unit. I have looked at the following, considering colours, reviews and availability etc: Bell Stoker - not keen on fit and look Specialized vice - an option, but side and rear coverage is not optimum, also lacks padding Bell Super - nice, but pricey I'm leaning towards the Super, I want a helmet that will not make me want to change later on, I also don't want over kill with respect to my riding (if that makes sense) , not that you can't have enough head protection I guess. I would not consider myself to be an enduro rider, but I enjoy a good mix of trail and XC, This a consideration as I want something comfortable, that won't have me overheating on longer rides. Input will be greatly appreciated.
