Ballito/Durban Cycling Routes

Hello,

 

I've just moved back to SA after being abroad for a few years and am living in Ballito. Currently I have been doing all my cycling on the M4 - from Ballito to SunCoast Casino and back and along the Comrades Route between Hillcrest and Maritzburg. I've also been out to Richmond a few times from Hillcrest and have gone along the old R102 from Ballito to Stanger and beyond.

 

To anyone who knows or cycles in the area can you clue me in on a few more routes as I am starting to get a bit bored of what I have been doing and it's only been a couple of months. I've just been looking at google maps and see R614 and the R74 might be options but I'm not sure about the safety of these roads as I ride by myself. Anyway I'd love to hear about some new routes from anyone with suggestions.
