Just bought a 2011 Scale 50 from Cash Convertors (of all places) in CT CBD. Paid R3000 for it and it looks a bit ridden (about 7.5 / 10) but all good. All original parts bar the SPDs and a pump. It's off for a service but seems to okay. Seems too good to be true... Were there any issues with this bike that would confine it to the bargain bin? Can't believe it's that good a deal.

I think thats a fair price - I recently bought a 2007 Scale LTD carbon with full XTR, Mavic SL's and Reba worldcup carbon fork, carbon bars, seatpost, seat etc for R8k. I replaced a spoke and refurbed the frame, looks like new now !

Haven't you guys heard the news?

In 6 months time there will be no parts available for 26" bikes.

Apparantly not even groupsets will fit 26" bikes.

Haha... Just joking.

The Scott Scale is one of the best 26" hardtails ever made, a true thoroughbred racer!!!

If this price feels to good - your gut is telling you something. Be suspicious as a matter of caution. Ask who they bought the bike from.

If good bike lands up at CC, there is a chance it could be stolen. I am not saying it is - but just a heads up to be aware of this. And in being cautious you could help stop another theft/hijacking.
