XT Shimano Hubs (24 Spoke)

Hi Guys,

 

I have been looking at the CRC website and they only offer 32 hole or 36 hole 15mm front hubs. Which hub is used for a 24 spoke, 15MM tru axle wheel. Is there a 24 hole hub or am I missing something here.

I think you're missing something....why would you want to build a 24 spoke wheel on a 15mm thru axle? Why would you want to use a 24 spoke mtb wheel at all?

the only 24 spoke xt hub i can think of comes complete with rim and spokes... lose hubs i've never seen

I agree - only ever seen the 24 hole hubs on the complete wheelset. Don't think they're available separately - especially not in 15mm format.

Plus Shimano's 24 spoke offerings are all straight pull spokes...

haha im contemplating the same thing... 24spoke rims on 24h hubs/3#H hubs.

Hi,

 

The intention was to convert a QR XT wheelset (M775) to a 15mm thru axle, like the XT (M778). So what happens if a M778 hub fails, is there no replacement. Are these hubs not interchangeable.

I'm a newbie, so just trying to figure these things out.
