Captain Slow Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Sign-Up Cyclists Safety InitiativeER24 commits support to Cycling Safety in Jhb South. ER24 will provide a weekend Ambulance service to all the cyclists out Jhb South. This is in addition to the Paramedic provided by Helivac EMS and the Lexus Paramedic vehicle sponsored by Lexus The Glen. As there are short & long training routes out in the South it was important to have both these routes covered in case of an emergency. The cyclists safety are also ensured by the Helivac Motorcycle Marshals. These marshals keep the cyclists protected and assists with traffic flow.

Well done !I have not ridden with them but we ride past them on our sat ride, they meet at the cnr of Swartkoppies and Kliprivier 7am, no club involved and i think they split naturally into the different ride groups.

Delgado Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Klaus its basically a pitch up and ride scenario. Just make sure you have some folks still with you round the back end ie.up the Steppes.
scotty Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 The long grass next to the steppes worries me, the grass is very high and close to the road, easy for someone to hide in it and disappear after attacking someone.
