Hi guys.

Any guys have some ideas of what kind of training I should be doing at the moment, just to finish reasonably comfortably. Any ideas on distance / amount of climbing etc.

Thanks, would appreciate any help.

If you're just trying to finish easily, I'd recommend doing longer rides: around 100km, to get used to the 'long haul'.Put in at least one 6 hr ride too. Don't forget to include horrible dirt roads with lots of corrugations!

You won't be doing much high intensity stuff on the course (its not that hilly), but I'd still throw in a few intervals (say twice a week).

Remember to eat and drink enough (and bring a snorkel if its like 2009) and you'll be fine.

Yeah last year was perfect. It is just a distance race so distance is what you need to be doing. I rode it alone and did ok. Try and get 2 or 3 together it is easier. I did jump on a few trains but not for long. If you not racing it don't worry too much.
