I have found a Scott racing comp (2005) Only prob is I am no Bike expert and do not know what to offer for it. I would appreciate any advice on how much this bike would be worth:

Scott Racing Comp(2005)

Frame: AL 7005 EVO2

Full Deore XT components

Fork: Manitou Axel Elite

Rims: Rigida DB

:o *gasp*

I'm surprised that someone would take "for sale" pics of their bike in such a dirty state... Putting it on a nice clean couch too?!... heck! I wouldn't allow it inside! hahaha!

but to answer your question...

I'm not familiar with this model, but based on specs and components, I'd say R4000 max

Frame looks good condition, but one thing you will want to change is that seat post clamp, those quick releases are problematic.

I can't see the wear on the chain rings, rotors etc but you should get a major service, check bearings, fit new chain etc.

I think an offer of R2500 is a good starting point. You will have to spend to get it in good shape, how much is an unknown but at least another R2k

Ya it has been standing in a garage for the past year or so, picked it up at 11 last night so did not have to wash it.

Thank you for the feedback!

It looks like it has seen better days!! If I had gone to look at it I would have probably walked away... I am with kosmonooit on this one. R2,5k max as the service costa are unknown and judging by the state of the bike you could be in for quite a bit!

PS I am assuming that you aren't married because my wife would have killed me if I had put that on our couch
