Grebel Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 I would suggest looking in the single speed section. I am planning a SS build and their advice (and pictures) have been invaluable. There are a lot of products available out there.
OneMac Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 As a starter, go for middle ring in front and 16 at the rear. It is crazy, but a lot of fun. I hear the nationals at Rietvlei were a lot of fun too
the nerd Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 Hey, The nationals were awesomley insane! As for gearing i'd suggest a middle ring and an 18 as 16 is a little tough up the hills. Also totally check out www.singlespeed.co.za, the guys there are clued up and have all the "gear" to get you set up right and first time! its a lot of fun!
