Dirtopia: what did you think of it

Was just wondering what people thought of dirtopia. I went through for the "DH" race as it was originally advertised. It was then changed to an all mountain race. In the end the course was a section of the xc marathon race, it was very smooth, not technical at all and quite flat. I was a quite disappointed, I did one practice run and went home. Got better things to do with my Sunday. A bit annoyed about the wasted morning though.

 

Was wondering what peoples opinions of the event were? I will be avoiding anything with their name on it for a while.

Crap, i dident even bother going to the Dh today. Went yesterday and the 4x track was pretty fun but got boring as always. the new stuff they put in was poorly built and super soft. Then on top of that the jumps were terribly built and even the top guys ended up just sitting around or riding the quaterpipe. Quite said really as the last was really fun.

I went there once a few years ago. I am not sure if it is still the same, but we found the trails to be very poorly marked. We also thought at that time tokai is better. We still do, we havent been back there and have stopped to look around at other weekend trails. For us it is all about tokai, we enjoy it and love it
