London Lane, Monument drive dirt road, Mnandi bike jacking

Guys. I urge you. Please do not ride in the vicintiy of London lane (just off Summit Rd - R562) or along the dirt rd section of Monument Rd, Mnandi. Myself and a mate got bike jacked there this morning. 4 guys, armed with guns and knives came out of the grass and took the lot. They were waiting. You are sitting ducks and they will get you. It has been 3 incidents over the last 3 successive weekends I was told by Monitor Net. Fortunately we are ok. Best thing to do is give up and submit. You just cant take a chance with a gun.

 

Just to repeat the area:

London lane is that small country road just off Summit (R562), Midrand, just above Blue Hills/Sun Valley. There is a dirt rd that runs off London lane that is popular with MTBers and has a large expanse of veld where the cu*ts can run into and hide.

They were very clearly waiting for us, or others to come past and pounce.

08h45 this morning, 1km into a 60km ride. Alas

 

Please be aware. the area has been targeted before and is a popular ish route for us MTBers.

This is so sad to read all these hi-jacking posts.

 

At least you can still write about and weren't harmed like the guy that got stabbed a few weeks back.

 

Then there still guys that want to ride with guns and think that they will have time to respond in a situation like this.
