My apologies. I will correct the numbering on the routines. But to answer your question, Yes, 1a,1b,2a,2b equates to 1,2,3,4.

Regarding plate taps. You will see next to the exercise is a link "Demo". Click that and it will take you to a video demo and explanation of the exercise.

Not all of the exercises have demo's yet, those that don't have will be added tomorrow and Saturday.

Training is going well!! Need to send you the details of last week...

As you know in week 3 now and I have only missed out on 2 days. over the last two weeks. So in theory this will be my first full 6 day week.

Just to give feedback, I am really enjoying the training so far, and can real;ly feel some stength building up... Only problem I am finding is trying to keep my heart rate under 65% on average over a long ride. The last two long rides I tried to cycle slowly and the best I could really do was 78% avg...

Don't worry too much about your HR for now. If you feel comfortable on 78% then great. Your avg and max heart rate will drop as your fitness levels pick up. Remember that your heart is also one big muscle that gets stronger. As your heart gets stronger and bigger it will be able to pump through more blood with each pump thus needing to pump less beats making you more energy efficient.

What I like hearing here is that you are actually starting too listen to your body and start to realize with what levels you are comfortable. Thats already a big step in the right direction. If you want I can adjust the program a little for you in terms of the suggested HR.
