  4. I just have to take a few hour for this news to sink in. How can this be true. If we as his supporters are so shocked and sad I cannot imagine how his wife, family, and close friends must feel. I just pray that his death wont be for nothing and that something will now be done by government to put this idiotic killing of cyclists and runners to an end. Burry, we will truly miss you. Rest in peace and may God give his family and friends strength through this tough time. How can 2013 start on such a sad note, **** man!!!

  17. Sorry about this guys, I promise you we're trying to get results and permission from the race organizer. Its not always that easy. As we get result from organizer we will load them. We will load vori-berg only next week. Weve had a hectic 3 weeks with tour of legends, wellington and trailseeker 3 all happening in 3 consecutive weeks.
  18. Great news guys. we have split the routes on the return to the venue. So bottlenecks should not be a problem this year. Hope you all enjoy the race! Its gonna be the biggest Nissan race to date.
  19. Howzit hubbers. Just to clear up a few things. First of all Grumpy, we sincerely aplogize for the inconvenience you experienced. We will try our utmost best to further improve on our communications to all our participants. Then regarding the accusation that the staff at registration was arrogant. Sjoe, Grumpy. My opinion is that you might have been so upset at that moment that you would have seen anyone as being arrogant that wouldnt comply with your request of riding without a board. We will have a talk with the girls but I know that they really do their best to smile and be friendly to thousands of participants at every race. Regarding the actual issue of you not knowing that you had to pay for a board as well. The two screenshots below are snippets from the entry screen. If you have a SAS board the system picks it up and still gives you the option to buy a new board if you perhaps lost your existing one. In the second screenshot, if you dont have a sas number the system gives you the option to buy a number board with your entry. There are som guys out there that decide to only buy the number board at the race. But what Im getting to is that this is right at the top of your entry. If you missed it, you didnt read. Regarding the price of the board. Lets take a quick look at what you get for your sas board at a once of cost of R30. 1) The board with built-in timing chip 2) A national seeding (based on your performance against the best riders in the country) 3) A series points standing 4) An identification while your in the race so that any non-rider (pirate riders) or even possible criminals on the route without a board can immediately be recognized. This helps the riders, the organizers and the land owners. 5) On the board is a cell no to be used for emergancy. You sms you board no to that cell no and get your medical details and contact sent back. All this for a once of R30. I would say that is value for money. Grumpy, I really hope that you will consider to do one of our races again. We have a high regard for each and every one of our participants. I personally hate it to have even one unhappy client. But it is impossible to keep everyone happy especially if we're working with thousands of participants. I hope my response finds you all well.
  20. Full results now on cyclesport.co.za Go to http://cyclesport.co.za/results For any queries regarding your results please contact sas@advendurance.com
  21. Hi guys, Sorry Ive been scares. Last week was hectic with the race and registration. Weve been having troubles with SAS. As CL Venter correctly states. We are busy writing a new web service that will directly integrate with SAS getting rid of a lot of manual spreadsheet work which causes a lot of mistakes to creep in as well. If you have any queries on your seeding or batching please send email it to sas@advendurance.com Also note, that you can now do your own entry changes and substitutions on eventry.co.za. I believe we are the first entry system to allow users to do this themselves.
  22. hi guys, the entry site for the Nissan Trailseeker #2 is down due to hosting company issues, will let you know when the site is up and running again.
  23. HI guys, our entry site is down due to hosting company issues. will let everyone know when the site is up and running again.

  25. Hi All, just to quickly clear up a few things from advendurance and spectrum sport side. 1) The riders that took a wrong turn and ended up doing 95km did not do so due to their own wrong doing. At the last waterpoint for the 75km the guys at th waterpoint off loaded their bottles and stuff infront of the board that shows the 75km guys to carry on straight. So approx top 40 guys never saw that board and took the turn onto the 40km rout doing an additional 20km. The problem was picked and the officials on the rout rushed to the waterpoint to correct the problem. These riders cant be penalised for that. 2) Between the SASeeding staff and spectrum sport they know who the riders were that got real value for their money with an added 20km. The are now looking at a way to try and resolve the problem that will be fair to all. We apologize for the inconvenience caused and also for the long wait for the results. The staff are doing their best rectify it asap and release the result. Hope you all understand.
