I have a set of unused dura ace 7700 hubs which I want to lace to 36 hole rims. Can anyone recommend rims and possibly where could buy such ancient beasts ?

I'd go with

Mavic 2011 Open Pro Rim 2011

slightly more expensive than Mavic 2011 Open Sport Rim 2011, but will make a wheel that your grandkids can still use.

Both in 36h in stock at CRC.

If you're going tubby, Mavic 2011 Reflex Tubular Rim 2011, also in 36h in stock at CRC, same price-ish as the Open Pro's.

I train on a set of 28h Open Pro's, must be around 10 years old now, and still perfect. Ok, I had a great wheel builder, but still...

Contact Queens Cycles in pretoria ,they have some ambrossio's in stock-very good rims aswell.

on CRC it says "NOT AVAILABLE OUTSIDE THE EU" ?????????

Oh, ya, that warranty thing.

Mail chris willemse jr, see if he can get them in for you? He gets Mavic stuff in?

Locally available from your bike shop is DRC.

A DRC ST 17 rim looks just like a Mavic Open pro but at 1/3 of the price. Excellent rims. Expect to pay about R340-00.

I agree! We use them on the Tandem.

go visit Mean Machine

Funny enough, the first thing I started typing as a reply included the words Mean Machine, then I thought, maybe not. Silly me.
