MrJacques Posted November 12, 2011 Share So I bought a 'new' set of wheels and I'm selling my old set. Both have centrelock rotors on them so I have the luxury of deciding which set to keep. The current set is XT (sm-rt78) http://www.bike24.net/images/products/p016376.jpg The new set is sm-rt53 (slx, I think) http://c771741.r41.cf2.rackcdn.com/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/s/h/shimano-sm-rt53-disc-brake-rotor.jpg Which set is better? I'd assume it would be the xt? The important factors for me are both stopping power and cooling. Just looking at the pattern (holes) it looks like they would be pretty close in performance? One thing I did notice is that the slx set can only use resin pads.

DMD 1 Posted November 12, 2011 Share XT. I have had the XT and the Hope and could not find any diff between the two. The XT just looks better than the SLX

MrJacques Posted November 12, 2011 Share a newer design isn't always better. Thanks for the replies, I'll keep the xt ones.
