Racing vs Training Wheels

R260 for 105 10sp chain

R499 for 105 10sp cassette.

So for roughly R1258 the problem is solved!

You can keep the cassette on the training rig (still some good life in it) and just buy a new one for the carbon. Get 1 - R769 or 2 new chains - R1019.

I run a Ultegra cassette on my road bike training wheels, a SRAM Force cassette on my TT bike training wheels and a Dura-Ace on my TT race wheels.

So yes, a separate cassette per wheel type. Sorry, not really what you wanted to hear.

I think its best I get a new chain and a new cassette. Then Ill have the best of both worlds and I can still keep the current cassette because there is alot of life left in it.
