Shimano SH - R160 (Custom Fit) - How?

Village Bicycle

Guys - I bought a pair of Shimano SH - R160 Custom Fit road shoes over the weekend and want to know where I can go to have them custom fitted as the bike shop I bought them from don't have the facilities.

I watched the video on youtube and it seems quite involved.

Kinda silly that the shop sells the shoes without the facilities!

Cyclelab should have the little Shimano shoe oven

(well, I think I thought I saw one @ Northgate Island)

They put it into the shoe oven and you fit and it forms to your foot.

It is not needed to this this its just a quicker way of doing it.

Many shops don't have the oven as you need to purchase a lot of shoes before they give you one or you need to buy it from them......eish the importers of Shimano are shrewd

Thanks guys - I was able to track down a oven at Cyclelab Fourways, appointment made for Friday next week.

For future reference for anyone looking to purchase Shimano Custom fits and have them, yes you guessed it, Custom Fitted, see below:

Fitment at Cyclelab - R200.00

Fitment at Coolheat (Longmeadow) - Free (only available again from 04.01.12)
