Personally I think once the wind turned on the second lap the currents got stronger and we just swam all over the place. At one stage on the way back it felt like I was swimming on the spot

 

Agree, I had to check my 'markers' alot more on the 2nd lap than the first. Also felt like I was going nowhere at times. Remember that last stretch to the beach...kept looking at the pier and it just didn't seem to move!
