i crap myself on that section but i ride it mostly very early in the morning - like before 6.00am - my blood runs cold if i cant make the narrow shoulder or the middle island  and there is a stream of cars behind taking the off ramp

Chrispy, i'm really glad that you are alright. well done on holding it up and on taking action against the 4rsehole - if we all did this all the time, despite the effort to track the perpetrators down, we might eventually get more awareness out there.

 

if you don't track him down maybe we could get some sort of "petition" or something going to Total - maybe a concerted effort amongst cyclists to not fill up at their garages for a few months...
