Hi,

I just got my tri bike back from lbs. It has just been built up. Only one problem, the back wheel seems to be touching the rear stay!!!!???? Is it running scew cause its buckled, or whats happening. I bought the tubbies 2nd hand and havent used them yet, so surely i was not sold beaten tubbies. Is there anyway i can get the wheel to not rub against the bike???? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is it permanent touching or temporarily? permanent is the wheel is skew in the frame, temporarily means the wheel is buckled.

Photos will help.

How does it rub against the rear stay, surely if buckled it would rub against the brakes but its easy enough to check. Could also be the tubbie that's not seated proper.

Have you had any wheels on the bike before? Is it a complete new build up? Brand?

Might be that they fitted wrong derailleur hanger or fitted it incorrectly, thus not aligning the wheel.

But question remains: has it been built up before or first time?

Its the first time its been built up. Tubbies are 2nd hand tho. The wheel cant be buckled because not touching brake pads. They said they reglued the tubbie on. Maby didnt do it properly.

I had a wheel rebuilt with some new spokes, when I got the wheel back it also rubbed on a chainstay (well, the tyre did), took the wheel and frame in and the problem got sorted, something about dishing?
