Options --> Start --> Function Set --> Altitude On --> OK --> and then key in the altitude figure --> OK ---- DONE ! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Thug Posted July 28, 2006 Share I know how to set it' date=' just want to make sure its accurate.[/quote'] The only way to set it will be at a Trig Beacon or with the help of a GPS, however the Polar uses barometric pressure to detemine the altitude, which 75% of the time will always be inaccurate given the hourly changes in temperature & pressure. Buff Posted July 28, 2006 Share Eish, I'm not from your neck of the woods so it makes it hard to find specific areas. The contour intervals are 20m so it's very easy to get this wrong without knowing your co-ordinates but you can work with these:Kempton Park = 1600mSandton = 1540mFourways = 1460m Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
