Safety around Harties

Hi all

 

We're going to Mount Amanzi the weekend, and planning on doing some riding around http://www.vangaalen.co.za/contact.htm

 

Anyone know of any smash and grab type security/safety problems.

 

My wife heard there is a gang walking around the damm and causing some sh$t.

I ride there almost every weekend, van gaalens isnt directly next to the dam and there has been zero incidents as far as I know...I dont mind driving 45 min from fourways to ride there because its safe and the trails are absolutely fantastic. There is one issue though...if you havent been there before, you will get horribly lost, you will need someone to show you around. Trail I can really recommend:

 

Up the concrete slabs...up and over daggpad...tant miems....back to oom piet's....if you have lungs left go greek church otherwise head back hom on the river. Did this route last weekend and had a blast.

Dont you have it on a gps/google maps format - I want to go but I'm not loosing my bike
