I agree with D Vader.

Riding a SS, especially a rigid SS, accelerates your fitness gains, your skills and your technique.

Since I made the conversion a year ago, I have noticed a huge jump in tech skills, power and stamina.

Do you now ride SS only?

funny how now when i look at bikes with a tripple on the front it looks out of place or am i the only one?

also i have been looking at an on-one inbred 29 frame @ 166.60 English Pounds

how much would the import duties and tax etc be for this frame?

Yes, it's my only bike. There's (almost) nothing I can't do on my SS that a geared or suspended bike can do. I love it so much!

Come downhilling with us ;)

...or does that fall under the "almost"

Not the only one... I'm with you on that. Although none of my bikes are SS, up until recently they were all 1 blade upfront. (for pretty obvious reasons though... they were 4X, downhill, and freeride bikes running 1x9 with a chain guide at the front).

However when I bought my AM bike I decided to scrap the 3x9 setup, sell the XTR chainrings before even putting the chain on the bike (so that they were still brand new), and then run a 2x9 setup (28T & 36T) up front with a bashring and a little roller-type chain guide. Still though... being used to the other bikes I often forget I have a granny gear

Far from SS... but things like the bashguard and BB mounted roller could be used on a SS setup
