The visor is very annoying with a road bike since your body position is more horizontal. I found looking in front of you is much harder with the visor as you have to lift your head up much higher, so I tend to take it of when on a road bike. But on mtb its back on, otherwise I look like a roady.

You'll probably also find that the roady versions are more aerodynamic, but I guess that is up for debate

I've never found the visors to be of any use.

Next time you in this area, I'll take you on a ride where the visor will be of use, so pack one

edit: and make sure you bring your cycling legs this time.

I brought in a flux from CRC, all included it was the same price as cycle lab (cept CL didn't have my color / size).

It fits well, has low protection at the back, and it vents really well, didn't even feel it when I was riding.

Nice one! The flux is a good lid! I have one that I managed to get from buycycle at the bargain price of R520 (brand new incl. shipping)

Lately though I have been using my Scott Fuga lid as it's pretty light and nice and venty

...for the more dangerous stuff I use a 661 evo full face. And I used to have a dirt jump lid, but I misplaced that in the veld somewhere
