  1. Going for the whole Wolverine look I see... Eish. Get well Sean...
  2. lazy sunday. but at least had time to take my buddy, mr jones, for his daily inspection round the block... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v102/zooplankton/pub/vlcsnap-2014-05-04-18h15m03s6_zpsf3af6840.png http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v102/zooplankton/pub/vlcsnap-2014-05-04-18h06m43s171_zps72dfed96.png
  3. +1000. i'm not one who watches DH racing because i'm fascinated by the "cool ski lifts" and i really don't see how the lack of it cheapens the sport in anyway? actually for me the more inaccessible and exotic venues are more interesting... prime example of how mtb-ing is slowly turning into the golf. next thing you know people will be demanding perfectly-manicured grass on the trails, water features, licensed clubhouses and personal mechanics.
  4. pic related..... this is how people on this thread look like during dinnertime... they are alone, but they seem soooo happieeee..... http://i.imgur.com/wSMXl.jpg http://www.woosk.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/salad.jpg
  5. thanks mate. yeah i don't think i'll never ever let her go.
  6. my first ever mtb... proudly sporting new wheels. started out life as a bottom spec GT Avalanche 3.0 (2007) various upgrades through the years (hydraulic brakes/reba fork) mainly from ye olde hub classifieds now serving as a singlespeed commuter - so it gets the most use... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v102/zooplankton/pub/IMG_20140414_203020_zpsc62a7a0a.jpg
  7. ended up taking the crank arm to my buddy's machine shop. success! they said it was easy peasy with pneumatic wrench. then again i had it already soaked in Q10... (okay i tell myself that rather than admit that just maybe i'm a klutz with spanners..)
  8. finns are a weird bunch. an uncanny high percentage of them are lactose intolerant. go to a supermarket in helsinki and almost every dairy product is lactose free. the article also totally ignores the high alcoholism among finns. just sayin'... perhaps beer is the answer
  9. ...i know right? first time i've rounded a gedore wrench ever! i've checked and re-checked the direction... all good. but yeah cheers for the suggestion guys - but oxyacetylene, heat guns or impact wrenches are tools which i unfortunately don't have at my disposal
  10. sorry for bumping an old thread - but sheeesh i've been battling with this... trying to remove spd's from generic suntour crank arm to change to flats... and i've tried everything... i've removed the crank arm and fixed on bench vice, using a pipe for leverage... so far: 1x pedal wrench... ruined 1x gedore 15mm open spanner... ruined 1x hex key - twisted like a piece of liquorice soaked in penetrating oil... nada.... heated on gas stove. no go. and yeah i'm turning the right way... its drive side so anti-clockwise, other side is off no problemo... haven't rounded/stripped the pedal spindle yet... testament to spd indestructability. but dang. it doesn't even budge! any ideas?
  11. yesss its awesome riding there! unfortunately didn't see any big cats though...
  12. yup. while we're baying for their heads just spare a thought for the family who's bread and butter might be on the line or maybe even a kid out there tonight who just found out that the person who they look up to is nothing but a fraud... why can't people just be honest in the first place....?
  13. honest and ethical? are you f****** kidding me? edit: my bad, shall resist feeding of the troll henceforth...
