bassasdaindia Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 new 3 day stage race being hosted in Plett/Knysna including karoo2coast as the 3 and final day and being hosted by Leon Evans @DrEvil,the nice thing is that day's 2 and 3 are simular routes to the old epic course that went from Knysna to Uniondale. Karoo to Coast is sponsored Dr Evil is not and contributes extra to this event to join on to it. The idea behind Dr Evil is to spoil riders rotten - give it a chance to prove itself. Accommodation is available at R200 pppn and less. It is cheaper than most 3 day stage races offering the same or less and the team have alot of experience and are known for delivering quality events! 10% Discount for manual entries available. Entries are coming in fast at present!

Can be a bit chilly that time of year....but soon forgotten 5 mins after the gun went off. I think ill be there for the inaugural event Wasbeer 1

I think ill be there for the inaugural event Chilly - last year we had close on 40 degrees - it is the time of the year in the area where anything goes. Dr Evil assures me that day one and day two WILL BE FOR NORMAL riders and those who like to race and hurt. He promises that Day 3 will be the hardest day - he is cutting routes in a more laid back style and not as he does for the Epic... Well that is what he told me.. Wasbeer 1

Once again this event will not be any where near Epic stages. day 1 could be interesting, but i think the interesting bits will be well known already.day 2 looks pretty much like a mangled C2K course. i know quite a few people have made the K2C into their own 2 day race by riding from knysna to uniondale on the route the day before. are they going to stop people from doing this because there's a 'race' on now?http://www.rudeawakenings.co.za/report/mountain-biking/karoo-2-coast-backwards
