IDT = yawn

IDT can be fun - if you set it up right. But that is more work than the training itself.

Fan, lekker and loud music........

is there space in the B team for one more .my avg for the argus was 30 or is there a C or D team where i will fit ?

Hi @berry

You'd be more than welcome to join us for training. At that pace though, we might all be sitting wheelsucking you ;)

We are at 13 initial members at present - so there wouldn't be a guaranteed place if we all stay the course. But of course entry date and the actual event are still some way off so it's quite possible spaces might open up.

Drop me a PM with your address if you would like me to include you on the email list.

berry, if you be doing 30km average, you belong in the A team.

Coach Walkerr, is there a C or D team? Going social sounds cool - but I need to do some reading on audax speeds etc.

I just want to know, would you be keen on two laps ?

Haha - 2 laps at audax pace maybe ;)

Not sure about a C or D team - from memory, I think cutoff is 10.5hrs so there's not much scope for being that much more social than the 9.5hr end of our 8.5 to 9.5 target.

Give me a shout if you want to meet up for beers and chat audax. Aside from being mad keen to do a DC since I started cycling here, I'm also looking at it as a near term target towards LEL next year. A pace of 25km/h over 200km is way higher than you need for an LEL or PBP, but I figure base fitness is base fitness, and it'll then be easier to step down speed and up the distances to some 300km and 400km training rides start of next year.

Edit: typos

Was going to go for that ride on the weekend, but saw so many idiots out on the road for the long weekend, thought I should avoid the roads until a little bit of normallity returned! Stared at my bike for at least an hour and a half on Sunday, so that must count!
