Sorry guys - I caused confusion here.

My post wasn't to suggest the Hub B / social team do this ride on 28th, but we use the route for future training rides since it sounds like a good one (thanks for that).

Having said that - thanks for being cool with any of our emerging team joining as a slower paced group. I'm away that weekend, so sadly wouldn't be able to join anyway - plus I reckon I'd be somewhat off your 23 to 25km/h target pace. Sure if some of the other guys and girls are up for it they'll post though.

walkerr,

Yeah, it's a good route to prepare for the saddle time required for the DC Challenge.

It's cool to start together.

And, it's possible that with varying endurance levels, splits in the bunch will automatically appear which can lead to a reorganisation of the groups.

Did not want to hijack your ride, just thought that seeing that they are planning a ride on the same day, starting at the same place, it could be combined. Like you said, a faster group and a slower group.

No problemo.

Cool. We have a first team ride planned for 22nd April, so will mention your ride for those who have that day free and feel they have the legs!

I think one must know your own limits. And mine is not to ride with the front of the alphabet. :)

Very true - I'm definitely more of a mid to lower alphabet rider ;)

I'm keen to join the 6.5 - 7hr team :)

Did a 7:14 after getting dropped 2 years back by the William's Bike Shop Team after 60kms - They finished in 6:43 so don't think I fared too badly :D Want a sub 7 though :D

Just learnt that this L S D ride is on a loooong weekend with a public holiday on 27/04 and 01/05....

So many will be on a lil' break away from work.
